Thought’s from Sunday’s practice:

• Aaron Fairooz (#87) showed off some of his speed on a pair of nice catches.
• There was an emphasis on special teams throughout practice.
• There was only one practice on Sunday. The team is scheduled to have two practices each of Monday and Tuesday. The Blue Bombers will have one session Wednesday morning before flying to Toronto in advance of Thursday’s pre-season opener against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
• 50 players will be taken for the June 12 exhibition game in Hamilton.
• Blue Bombers head coach Doug Berry told the media he would take three quarterbacks to Hamilton, and most likely keep starter Kevin Glenn behind in Winnipeg.

Not on the field:

- Defensive lineman Jon Oosterhuis (#77) – out 1-2 weeks with a strained calf.
- Defensive lineman Matt Kudu (#95) – leg injury.

Transactions:

The Blue Bombers released import linebacker Tim McManigal (New Mexico State).
