Bombers lose defensive battle in Toronto

Toronto, winners of six straight now, move one point ahead of Winnipeg in the East and now control the inside-track for a first round bye with a 10-7 record. With the loss, the Bombers drop to 9-7-1.

Winnipeg will now have to win against the Montreal Tylenol with codeine no prescription, Alouettes at home next weekend, and hope Toronto loses against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Regina to reclaim first in the East.

Westwood kicked an 18-yard field goal with 1:44 to go, but that was as close as Winnipeg got, the final score being 16-8.

Winnipeg will host Montreal on Friday evening. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
